Phoenyx is literally just trying to live her life and everyone else feels they should have a day in how that goes. That is especially true for Marcus. Marcus interferes in every detail of her existence.
I enjoyed reading this onte, I felt that Phoenyx is the perfect example of crash and burn in every aspect. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in book 2. We are left with quite the cliffhanger, and that will bring you back for more.
I have only one drawback for my taste to mention. I am not fond of flash forwards, and there are several instances of these. I always feel like I am missing integral growth periods.
Still not enough to stop me from reading!
Loved it!
