After the Storm of the Century rips apart New Orleans, Adele Le Moyne and her
father are among the first to return to the city following the mandatory
evacuation. Adele wants nothing more than for life to return to normal, but with
the silent city resembling a mold-infested war zone, a parish-wide curfew, and
mysterious new faces lurking in the abandoned French Quarter, normal will have to
be redefined.
Events too unnatural – even for New Orleans – lead Adele to an attic that has been
sealed for three hundred years, and the chaos she unleashes threatens not only her
life but everyone she knows. Mother Nature couldn’t drain the joie de vivre from
the Big Easy, but someone or something is draining life from its residents.
Caught suddenly in a hurricane of eighteenth- century myths and monsters, Adele
must quickly untangle a web of magic that links the climbing murder rate back to
her own ancestors. But who can you trust in a city where everyone has a secret,
and where keeping them can be a matter of life and death – unless, that is, you’re
immortal.
“In this Southern Gothic love letter to the spookier side of New Orleans's
storied past, Arden spins out a moody tale of magic and mystery… a thoroughly
satisfying page-turner and a strong debut.”
Publisher’s Weekly Starred Review

“Debut author Arden offers readers a full plate of Southern gothic atmospherics
and sparkling teen romance in a patiently crafted tale that will best reward
careful readers… Satisfying teen entertainment but also a cathartic,
uncompromising tribute to New Orleans.”
Kirkus Reviews

“In the way that it fuses the experience of adolescence, the city of New
Orleans, history, magic and vampires, The Casquette Girls can't help but be
a fun adventure, but more than that, it's a smart story with a surprising amount
of emotional depth.”
IndieReader

“A slow-burning New Orleans-set vampire novel in the tradition of Anne Rice… A
story that’s more intricately woven than your typical supernatural release.”
Rue Morgue Magazine

“The Casquette Girls is a novel that once I started, I could not put down… the
perfect blend of romance and mystery and not your typical paranormal teen
romance.”
The Paranormal Romance Guild
*I was provided a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I love to read stories about New Orleans, and I love paranormal stories...The Casquette Girls is a book that entwines these two seamlessly into a page turning masterpiece.
The Casquette Girls is about a girl, Adele Le Moyne after she comes back to New Orleans after the storm of the century. Strange things start happening to her that she can't explain and strange people begin to come into her life that she really has a hard time handling.
She has to learn to navigate her new powers, and she has to navigate her history through a mysterious diary that she comes across because of her power.
Then things get really good!
You wont want to put this book down! With such a rich heritage to learn about I wanted to read even after the story had ended! I highly suggest that you grab your copy TODAY!
