Death Dealer Blog Tour Stop - Review & Giveaway!!!

Book Title: Death Dealer
Series Title & Book #: A Death Angel Novella—Book 1
Author: Ashley Robertson
Published: July 1, 2013
Genre: Adult/Paranormal/Romance

Death: a word Mia Baron was all too familiar with since the murder of her parents when she was a young girl. Her drive for vengeance was the reason she became a Death Dealer—a soul guide through the spirit realm—signing her life away in her own blood. Pain forged a concrete wall around her heart and no one or nothing would ever penetrate it…until she got what she desired most—revenge.

Deacon Gage craves justice for his own horrific tragedy that forced him into the same life Mia chose, with the same promise of vengeance dangling just out of reach. His expert training makes him an Elite—one of the few Death Dealers to ever achieve such a status—and no one can shift his focus from the blood he seeks.

But when the two are partnered for yet another job and a heart-shattering case rips open Mia’s heart, Deacon realizes he’s the only one who can save her…at a price that might be too much to pay: opening his heart to her. The clock is ticking and her life hangs on the balance of whether he can truly let go or will hold onto his desire for blood.

I was given this ebook for an honest review.  My thoughts and opinions are my own.

I will personally rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars!

I really enjoyed reading this book! Here is my only negative.... I felt it was too short!
I really wanted to read more about Mia and Deacon!!  I loved the chemistry between the two of them, and it would have added soooo much more to their tale to have a little more background as opposed to the memory flashbacks we get.  However! You can still reach out and touch the tension between them, and you get a sense of the urgency that Deacon feels when he may loose what he has found.
I really felt for Mia's heartbreak.  In the beginning I loved the act of kindness she was able to share with her grandmother.  Her pain with what happened to her family is nearly palpable! I wont ruin the story for you, so you are going to have to get yourself a copy and see for yourself!
I am excited to read the next installment and see if Mia's hard work can get her into the Elite!

Charmed - Review

Life or Death? Not many people would choose death. But what if death chooses you? What if death doesn’t mean the end of your life, but the beginning?
For a Death Escort, death is life. Death is your paycheck. Death is your job.
And Charming is the best Escort the Grim Reaper has ever had.
But when you piss off the Reaper, being the best doesn’t matter. So Charming is assigned a Target who is practically impossible to kill. He knows the Reaper hopes he fails—that he’s counting on it. So Charming vows to prove him wrong. He vows to make the kill.
But someone else vows to get in his way. Someone with a big mouth, a sugar habit, and blond hair. Someone who makes his heart start beating again.
And so Charming is left holding more than one person’s fate in the palm of his hand. He thought the choice would be easy, that there really wasn’t a question at all.
He was wrong.
Life or Death?

Cambria Hebert is the author of the young adult paranormal Heven and Hell series and the Death Escorts series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). She went to college for a bachelor's degree, couldn't pick a major and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.
She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and children (both human and furry) where she is plotting her next book.

I did NOT want to read this book and fall in love with Charming! Crud! So well written!
I really love Cambria Hebert's style of writing, it truly draws you in, and gets you involved!
This is the second book in her Death Escorts Series and it is an excellent read!
I would never have thought that I would find myself feeling bad for Charming, and I really never thought Frankie would be able to forgive him his trespasses.
But as it turns out everyone is really worthy of a second chance.  We learn about Charming's back story and how he became a Death Escort, also we see how G.R. feels about him after the fiasco with Dex and Piper in book one, Recalled.
G.R. pretty much gives Charming an ultimatum and the most impossible Target, Frankie decides that this just can't be.
She and Charming start a dangerous tango of life and death and it's very intriguing to see how it all unfolds.  I loved every word of this book!
With a slightly more mature atmosphere that book one, I don't suggest it for younger readers.
I do suggest that you go read both books straight away!

Recalled - Review

Goodreads description

Love or Death? A simple question really. The choice seems obvious. But. What if you never knew love, what if your life was spent just trying to survive? What if you knew your fate before you were fully grown?

And then you died.

And you were given another chance. A better chance.

This new life depended upon one thing: your job. And so you agreed. You thought it would be simple. You thought it would be cut and dry.

It never is.

And now you are left holding the fate of someone else in the palm of your hand and you have to make the ultimate choice.

Love or Death?

Cambria Hebert is the author of the young adult paranormal Heven and Hell series and the Death Escorts series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). OMGosh....... You know those books where you read and read and read... neglecting all responsibility?  The kind where you forget you are supposed to fix dinner, or go meet someone?
This is that book.
I read it in less than a day, actually in an afternoon and I am super excited I already have the next book Charmed all ready on my kindle and started this am!
Recalled is the story of Dex and Piper.  Dex had a rough hand dealt to him from the beginning of life and he doesn't realize his true worth, and death came calling when he saved Piper's life.
Piper is a young girl just trying to get through school and make the bills.  She gets to know Dex unfortunately after he has been claimed by death and she is now his next Target!
I love how we see both characters POV, and it's handled beautifully.  I wasn't confused at the switching and it really did add so much more to the story seeing both sides of the situation.  I got more into the story because I could understand how everyone was feeling.
The flow was seamless, and characters were developed so well that I wasn't left wondering anything and could just concentrate on the feels!!
Oh the FEELS!!! I can't tell you too much because you deserve the ending for your own, but wow... I cried, laughed, snorted, got mad.... everything was just so out there!
I loved it!
