You always see the photo and Instagram challenges and this is a really nifty take on that for book bloggers!
If you click the link up there it will take you to the main page and you can see all the participating blogs.

So onto the question of the day, why do I blog about books?

There are several reasons I chose to start this little bebe book blog.  This is a fledgling blog, meaning its barely been active a month, so you'd think my reasons would be fresh and I could spout them off post haste....
Well, maybe so.  I started blogging because I just absolutely love love love love to read, to talk about what I've read and why.  I love to talk about how the books made me think, made me feel, and made me want to read them so much that I would miss out on sleep or even in some instances, family time.
Reading a book literally transports my mind inside it.  I tend to get so lost in books that I read non-stop and my family gets kinda ticked off about it.  We had to make a compromise no joke.
Now you know I love books.  Here's the kicker- I have almost no friends where I live.  Oh but she lives in Nashville, surely there are people there?? Yup you're right!  Tons of people here, but I for the life of me, can't keep friendships.  They start then they fizzle out. (laugh it up the funny lady said fizzle)
All these fantabulous stories and no one to talk about them with.  That's the ultimate reason I started blogging about books.  I just knew that at least on the Internet I would find a like minded set of people who would understand and appreciate my love of these stories.  People that think like I do, that a story really is more than just a story, it's a state of mind and a break from reality.
To clarify, no I don't think I'm antisocial, I just think that I haven't been able to key into the type of people in person that I feel are my kindred.  I blog to reach out and discuss, and to find those people I will one day call friend.

Happy reading everyone!
Dowie
